The Grade 4 Camp

Two  weeks ago we were on camp.


 We went to Giraffe House first and saw snakes, turtles, springboks zebras and more animals. We got to hold the snakes it was quite freaky. There was this one big big big frog what the man held it had water in its tummy. We also saw really big Giraffes and lots of Jackals. 

Then we went to Simonsberg we went to the school bus to get there. Then when we got there we saw Allen, Cute Dizzy, Lumkho and Xman. We were so excited when we got there we first went to go and pack out then when we were done we went to go see our leaders then we played S.T.O.P it was so fun they always made us go back again and pored us with water.

 After that we played this game that you have a big ball that you must not let it touch the ground you must also count how many times you bounce the ball. Then after the ball game we played this game when you have a stick in your hand and there are other sticks but they put those other sticks in the ground then you must try and

My name is Gladys Long At our school when I heard the singing inspector was coming I was panicking because I really didn’t want to sing and I knew I didn’t know how to sing. But I saw we had no choice which meant this hole singing thing is going to turn out bad. A day in the life and home of a child in an informal settlement.

My name is Judy and I live in an informal settlement. Today when I woke up I that if I had a proper bath then I wouldn’t have to stand up so early to rinse myself with a bucket and that takes a really long time. Sometimes I can’t sleep enough because I stand up so early and that makes me really miserable by getting up so early in the morning. Having a proper roof would make me really happy because there is cracks in my roof so when it rains the rainwater can come in and get on my homework pages when I am busy studying and then it makes I all damp and crumbled up. Since I have no shoes I walk barefoot to school so I sometimes cut myself because there is glass on the road and then my feet are really sore. It would really make it easy for me if I had shoes then I wouldn’t have to go through all that trouble. Coding commands

Hello, I will be telling you about coding in #swiftplayground Swiftplayground is an app in where you do #coding. I am in #Elkanah and am in #Grade 5. So when the grade fives do coding in learn to code 1, we get an introduction on how to do the levels in the code. The introduction page always gives us challenges. It’s really nice when it gives us challenges because it makes you better on how to code. The grade fives enjoy it a lot because it’s really fun to make the person who you control to do different stuff. Some of the levels are easy and some are hard, but you just need to focus and keep at it. The more you code the better you’ll get. If you are stressed about anything in your life, coding takes it away and makes you focus on coding. If you are bored, you can download the app and play it. Trust me, it’s fun! Try it out! Kari
